Job Description/Responsibilities: Benchmark School, founded in 1970, is an independent coeducational day school serving 180 bright children in grades 1 through 8 who have been identified as having dyslexia, ADHD, auditory processing or language-based learning differences.
Benchmark School is seeking applicants for a full-time language arts teacher with an ability to work with a head teacher to provide research-based instruction in all aspects of literacy for a language arts class and to provide support in math.
The school seeks a teacher with an ability to provide explicit instruction within the context of a project- or inquiry-based instructional framework and who will demonstrate an openness to learn and grow professionally. The successful candidate will be a clear communicator with colleagues and parents and a role model for middle school students.
Qualifications: A bachelor’s degree is required.
