Abington Friends School (AFS), an independent, coeducational, college preparatory day school in Jenkintown, PA, is seeking candidates for the position of School Receptionist & Admission Administrative Assistant to begin immediately.
This is a twelve-month, full-time position with hours from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. Availability to work occasional nights and weekends. Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel, strong phone, communication and interpersonal skills, attention to detail and ability to work as part of a team in a fast-paced office are essential skills. Experience with SchoolAdmin, Blackbaud or other data management systems a plus.

Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
providing primary administrative support for the Office of Admission;
responding to general inquiries and requests for applications; managing event RSVPs;
managing the all-school switchboard;
accurate and timely data entry;
greeting and interacting with prospective students, families, and guests;
overseeing school mail;
supporting mailings, enrollment process and tuition assistance process.
