Edu-Tech Academic Solutions seeks an accomplished educator to fulfill a newly created role within one of our PAISBOA member schools to build on its excellence and guide the school towards future possibilities. The Director is an innovative, creative, and dynamic leader charged with developing and implementing a strategic vision in all areas of technology for the school. In addition to overseeing and managing the school’s technology hardware, software, and budget, the Director oversees best practices involving digital tools and technology integration into daily practical classroom use. Both a big picture thinker and a hands-on implementer, the Director engages with administrators, educators, and support personnel, parents, and students to extend the responsible and creative use of technology.
The Director must be a strategic thinker with strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills, as well as the enthusiasm and credibility to create and sustain momentum in the school’s appropriate use of technology in its curriculum and instruction. The Director oversees staff development opportunities to meet the diverse learning needs of staff as related to integrating technology into academic programming.
Additional Attributes Include:
Works with the school’s Senior Leadership and Academic Leadership teams to define, develop and shape the school’s academic technology program
Supervises both the Information Technology staff and Academic Technology staff to ensure current and potential curricular technology implementations can be supported and maintained by the IT infrastructure and support model
Provides leadership in the evaluation, selection, and implementation of instructional technology hardware, software, and learning tools
Manages the budget for Infrastructure and academic hardware/software purchases as well as colleagues’ professional development in conjunction with the Director of Finance
Demonstrates and models instructional practices that utilize technology effectively to inspire curriculum and teaching
Communicates with parents, employees, administrators, and outside organizations for the purpose of providing administrative support, enhancing program awareness, and assisting with program implementation and conflict resolution
Collaborates and coordinates the design, planning, support, professional development, and implementation of technology use in teaching, learning, and school curriculum for the purpose of improving student learning in all subject areas
Leads the development and interpretation of IT program policy and procedures to establish guidelines needed to effectively and efficiently meet the school’s program goals while adhering to all relevant regulations and guidelines

Demonstrates strong knowledge and understanding of technology operations and educational integration necessary at an independent school
Has at least five years of teaching experience with an advanced degree in Educational Technology or equivalent experience
