An energetic leader and an essential member of the Office of Institutional Advancement, the Director of Alumni Engagement designs, plans, and implements a sophisticated, strategic alumni program aimed at engaging over 5,000 Episcopal alumni in the life of the school and in networking with each other. Building meaningful connections with a wide range of alumni locally, regionally, nationally, and internationally, the Director's primary goal is maximizing alumni engagement leading to philanthropic participation. The Director of Alumni Engagement works in partnership with key leaders at the school to ensure the school's strategic commitment to building an inclusive community is incorporated into all of our engagement initiatives.

The ideal candidate for the Director of Alumni Engagement at The Episcopal Academy will possess the following:
Demonstrated success in developing strategy and building engagement programs and activities
Experience with diversity, equity, and inclusion work and demonstrated success in increasing engagement of alumni of color, LGBTQ+ alumni, and alumnae with the institution and each other
Excellent communication skills - both verbal and written - and experience using social media, print publications, video, and other forms of communication as a way to engage an audience as well as experience engaging constituents beyond traditional events
Ability to listen carefully and understand constituents' needs, both internally and externally, and proactively respond to those needs in a consistent and timely manner
Experience managing highly-engaged volunteers
Demonstrated curiosity, creativity, analytical thinking and problem-solving skills, and a growth mindset
The ability to work independently and take initiative, and to react and adapt to changing situations appropriately
An understanding of institutional advancement work and how to cultivate a philanthropic culture among all alumni
