The Position The Episcopal Academy has an immediate opening for a Part-Time Campus Safety Officer. The part-time schedule will include Saturdays, potentially require Sunday work hours, and will require flexibility with overall scheduling. The position will report to the Director of Campus Safety and be a member of the Facilities and Operations team. The Campus Safety Specialist will, and be expected to, perform professional physical security and campus safety duties consistent with and required by a private K-12 school. Candidates must be a team-oriented and service-centric professional who can operate and contribute to a mission-focused environment. Additional roles and responsibilities include, but are not limited to: - Providing functional safety and security service in a static post, while operating a mobile vehicle, and on foot.
- Responding to routine calls for service as well as in emergency and critical circumstances.
- Maintaining and administering operational policies and procedures.
- Operating in large scale on-campus special events and associated crowd dynamics.
- Assisting with campus-wide emergency training and exercises.
- Monitoring and providing vehicular traffic control and flow.
- Appropriately interact with students ranging from pre-K to 12, faculty/staff, and service vendors/contractors.
- Documenting, recording, and writing incident reports.
- Providing logistical and operational support for inclement weather.
- Adaptability to additional operational duties.

- Experience in applying safety and security best practices - preferably in an academic setting is a plus.
