AIM seeks to hire a Major Gifts Officer (MGO) to help design, develop, and implement our major gift program. The director will be responsible for managing and cultivating relationships with existing major gift prospects, identifying new prospects, and building the overall major gift program alongside the Director of Institutional Advancement. The MGO will clearly communicate the school’s mission, energize team members, and persuade prospects. Reports directly to the Director of Institutional Advancement. As the Major Gift Officer, you will be expected to: ? Help our donors accomplish their philanthropic goals and ambitions through their relationships with AIM ? Secure major gifts at the $10,000 to $25,000 level with a goal of raising $500,000 annually ? Manage systems and software to track and cultivate donors and prospects, including our donor database and wealth screening tools ? Manage an existing portfolio of 125 donors and prospects ? Collaborate with annual giving to renew and upgrade donors’ commitments to the annual fund ? Run monthly prospecting/moves management meetings and collaborate with other members of the advancement team to manage relationships with major gift prospects ? Work with the Director of Institutional Advancement on Comprehensive Campaign ? Oversee the acknowledgment and recognition for gifts at various levels and implement programs to ensure fundraising goals are achieved at each giving level ? Average 10 face to face meetings per month with current donors, potential new donors and community leaders ? With the Development Team, plan and implement a series of group cultivation activities aimed at engaging parents and alumni parents with the potential to give major gifts ? Work with the AIM Fund & the Development Associate to build and enhance a strategic prospect management system ? Prepare written and oral presentations and proposals as needed ? Generally support the Academy’s development program, including, but not limited to attendance at and help with fundraising, recognition, and events ? Assist staff as needed with additional development initiatives and undertake special projects and assignments as directed ? Perform other duties as assigned or requested |
