Germantown Friends School seeks an articulate, personable, and efficient professional to provide administrative support services to the Admissions Office. Qualified candidates will demonstrate strong interpersonal and customer service skills, as well as strong command of the technological skills and applications of them that support admissions operations. This person will report to the Director of Enrollment and the Enrollment Services Manager.
Duties and Responsibilities: Responsibilities include answering the phone, greeting visiting families, data entry, scheduling appointments and visitors, tracking and completing application files, bulk mailing preparation and other office maintenance tasks. Duties may include research (phone and online) and assistance with various program operations as responsibilities permit.
QUALIFICATIONS: Qualified candidates should have proficiencies with Microsoft Office Suite applications, Google Apps for Education, and experience with data management. Previous experience at an independent school and knowledge of the Veracross student-information system is a plus. Candidates must have good writing and communication skills, a gracious phone manner, be highly organized, independently motivated, and graceful under pressure. A high degree of discretion dealing with confidential information is also required.
This is a non-exempt, twelve-month position with hours from 7:30am to 4:30pm Monday through Friday with an occasional required Saturday. Eligible for benefits, including tuition remission.
Physical requirements: Frequently lifts objects weighing up to 25 lbs., climb stairs, sit for extended time periods, occasionally stoop or kneel, use hands and arms to grasp of reach for objects.
