Woodlynde School seeks a Director of Strategic Initiatives and Partnerships to oversee the implementation of the School’s strategic plan and to strengthen Woodlynde School’s key differentiating factors (e.g., The Literacy Institute at Woodlynde School) to grow our standing in a competitive marketplace. Working directly with the Head of School and other members of the leadership team, this new position will lead the development and integration of innovative initiatives and external partnerships that further distinguish Woodlynde School from other institutions through the continued refinement of “The Woodlynde Advantage”. Three areas of expertise set Woodlynde School apart from the pack and comprise “The Woodlynde Advantage”:
Delivering critical reading and writing skills for post-secondary success.
Designing challenging curricula that meet the learning needs of each student through excellence in instruction and support.
Providing programs, spaces, and support systems that nourish the physical, psychological, and social-emotional health and wellbeing of students.
Each of the initiatives and partnerships conceived and created by the Director of Strategic Initiatives and Partnerships will support the intentional evolution of the School’s work in these areas of expertise. Examples may include outreach initiatives to area legal, psychological, and educational professionals, expanded professional development offerings through The Literacy Institute, or novel collaborations with thought leaders and institutions of higher learning to create credentialing opportunities operated by Woodlynde School.
Woodlynde School welcomes and serves students who learn differently and empowers them to become strategic thinkers and self-advocates in a challenging and supportive college preparatory environment. Woodlynde School is at an exciting moment in its history as the Board of Trustees, Head of School, and senior administrators bring the first phase of a three-phase, multi-year master plan to a successful conclusion and actively engage together on a comprehensive Strategic Plan. With a transformed campus open for in-person learning and enrollment and philanthropic giving on the rise, Woodlynde seeks a dynamic, collaborative, and strategic thinker who will expand the School’s initiatives and partnerships in order to further cement our role as a resource to students and educators both locally and across the country and showcase our strengths to an ever-broader audience.
The ideal candidate will be someone eager to immerse themselves in the life of the Woodlynde School community and to work in tandem with colleagues to shape the School’s brand identity and positioning, programs and partnerships, and reach.
